⚽💔🕊️ | The Kilifi football community was plunged into mourning on Tuesday following the tragic death of Blue Blue FC captain and defender, Ali Rashid, who was reported to have died at sea.
According to reports, Ali was out fishing in the Indian Ocean when he lost his life. Sources indicate that a dispute erupted between him and his fellow fishermen during the fishing expedition.
The altercation escalated into a physical fight, during which Ali was reportedly beaten until he lost consciousness. His assailants are then said to have thrown him into the sea after realizing he had fainted.
Up to this moment the body hasn't been retrieved due to the unpredictable climate changes that the ocean is encountering, efforts are being made by volunteers to ensure they find him for a decent send off.
Meanwhile, we invite all sports lovers for a fundraising at the MTG Grounds Mnarani ward Kilifi this coming Sunday for a mini tournament to pay respect to our brave Captain.
