Disturbance of nesting flamingoes at Lake Natron. Sad to report that a local garage owner took these photos of a Greater Flamingo colony at Lake Natron. I do not have a day date. They were passed onto me by a 3rd party. Flamingoes are notorious for deserting entire colonies when disturbed like this. Emmanuel Fidelis Mgimwa might you know of this?
The second image is a concentration of Lessers around the southern edge of the lake. If ground conditions are suitable, many small islands in the south, cracks in the trona in the north then LFs may well be breeding at the moment.

Lucia Widow Dragon fly - Male (Palpopleura lucia)
It prefers the still waters of lakes, pans, dams, ponds, floodplains, and marshes. It also occupies the slow-moving sections of rivers and streams. Favors well-vegetated habitats with abundant emergent reeds, sedges, grass, etc
I Photographed this beautiful fly on a papyrus reed grown inside a Fish pond.
