Sometimes, when one door closes, Allah opens many better ones.
To my brother, Omar Abdulkadir Artan your dedication, professionalism, and excellence as a referee have always been outstanding. I witnessed your quality firsthand during my time as a head coach in the Somali National League, and your performances were always top-notch.
Although you were denied entry to the USA for the FIFA World Cup 2026 assignment, this does not define your journey. Instead, Allah has used this moment to make your name known worldwide and elevate your status even further.
Your story is an inspiration to many young people in refereeing, coaching, and sports as a whole. Keep believing, keep working, and keep shining.

I am truly honored to take on the role of Head Coach of the Djibouti U-17 and U-20 national teams. I would like to sincerely thank the Djibouti Football Federation and its leadership for their trust and support.

I am excited to begin this journey and to work closely with everyone involved in developing strong, competitive, and disciplined teams. Together, we will build a new identity for Djibouti youth football and strive for progress, excellence, and pride in every match.

Je remercie la Fédération Djiboutienne de Football pour la confiance qu’elle m’accorde en me nommant sélectionneur des équipes nationales U17 et U20. C’est un honneur pour moi d’être à Djibouti et de collaborer avec Monsieur le Président ainsi que l’ensemble des dirigeants pour construire des équipes compétitives dans ces deux catégories. Cela demandera un engagement et un travail collectif de tous. Je suis convaincu que nous saurons apporter une nouvelle dynamique aux équipes de jeunes et viser des performances solides et remarquables.
