I have officially published my first YouTube video! Last weekend, I got up at 3am and took the Prelude Type S to catch the sunrise at a scenic overlook that was 65km away, but it was well worth it! Route 70 wanders through the mountains with a ton of blind turns and a ton of really narrow spots- about an hour straight of switchbacks, tunnels, and adventure. It was a perfect day, up until it wasn't (more on that later). :-/ I only saw two cars and three bicyclists/motorcycles the entire time I was on the mountain.
Please check it out the video and offer any feedback you might have- I do this because I genuinely love it and am striving to get better at it. I only have two more months in Japan and trying to catch as much of it as possible!

Another sunrise drive- this time through the mountains of the Kanagawa Prefecture along Route 70. I saw five cars and a few bicyclists the entire drive through the winding sections, but slowed by lots of [very] blind turns and quite narrow sections (1 car wide two-way roads!), too. The perfect balance of sections to step on it, but also with waterfalls and scenic bridges to roll down the windows and enjoy the breeze. Beyond blessed every time I get out- the beauty was surreal.

When 29-year-old cars do 29-year-old-car things- in this case, the alternator stopped generating any power. I ended up installing a new battery (old one was dated 2022 with a bad cell) and an alternator, and all is now well. While I was in the engine bay, I threw in a Zero 1000 intake air filter/resonator and an Ultra Racing strut brace that I scored good deals on at Upgarage. A productive day where everything actually came apart and went back together without incident!

All summer long I dream of Mount Fuji in the wintertime. We don't get to see it this clearly in the hot, humid August air (but autumn will be here soon).

The sunrise drive from Hayama to Enoshima was breathtaking! Ended up on a quick detour through Kamakura.
