Gala exists to make your trip from Tokyo to the snow as easy as possible. Located in Yuzawa, Gala is the only ski resort in the world with it's own Shinkansen (bullet train) station; it takes from as little as 75 minutes to arrive at Gala direct from central Tokyo. The resort's gondola and chairlift give access to over 800 vertical metres of skiable terrain, breathtaking views and of course lots o

f Japanese powder! To help you enjoy your trip to the resort we have staff that speak many languages including Japanese, English, Korean and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) at our information desk. There's also an English speaking ski school and one of the biggest rental shops in Japan. We have everything you need to get out on snow including skis and snowboards, outerwear, goggles, hats and gloves. We also have sled sets available for those who don't feel like skiing or snowboarding but still want to enjoy the snow. You don't need to bring anything with you to experience the snow here at Gala. On top of that there's six restaurants to choose from, a retail shop, a locker room and a spa for relaxing after a long day on the mountain. Let’s enjoy Golden Week at GALA Yuzawa!

At GALA Yuzawa, we’ve now opened for the Spring Season starting from April 18. Although it’s no longer the peak snow period, you can still enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery and a variety of fun outdoor activities in a relaxing atmosphere 🏔️✨

During Golden Week (April 29 – May 6, 2026), we’re offering special deals on gondola and sightseeing lift tickets:
🎟️ Adults: 2,500 yen (regular price 5,000 yen)
🎟️ Elementary school students: 1,000 yen

There are also plenty of activities to enjoy throughout the day, including Mountain Cart, Buggy rides, kids’ zones, and a Mini Festival with a traditional Japanese fair atmosphere

End of season update from GALA Yuzawa

Even though most of the snow has already melted, GALA now offers a fresh new vibe. The mountains are starting to turn lush green, beautifully contrasted with clear blue skies and white clouds, creating a bright and relaxing view.

You can still take the gondola up to enjoy the panoramic scenery from the top as usual 🚡✨

One of the highlights not to miss is relaxing at our spa and onsen. Even without skiing, soaking in warm water while enjoying the view of the mountains as they turn green is incredibly soothing and refreshing.

For those who want to take a walk, snap photos, or simply unwind, facilities like the shuttle bus and onsen are still operating as usual. Come enjoy the fresh air and capture some memorable moments to wrap up the season at GALA Yuzawa!

GALA Yuzawa Update – April 6, 2026 🌸❄️

Snow in Yuzawa town is starting to melt, so for those seeking pristine white scenery, head up the gondola to the mountain for the best snowy views.

One highlight we recommend is the Barouche chairlift to The Bell of Love. With today’s bright, clear skies, you’ll get stunning views of the snow-covered mountains — perfect for photos and memorable moments.

For skiers and snowboarders, slopes are currently open only in the Central Area. As shown in the photo, the C2 (Entertainment Course) is still lively and full of visitors enjoying the snow.

The weather is pleasant — not too cold — making it a great time to visit before the season ends. Our team is ready to welcome you at GALA!

Today at GALA Yuzawa Snow Resort on April 1, 2026 🏔️❄️

This morning, the mountains were covered with quite thick fog, creating a unique and beautiful atmosphere. In the afternoon, there was light drizzle continuing into the evening, and the rain is expected to turn into snow tonight.

Although the amount of snow at GALA Yuzawa Snow Resort has decreased significantly from the peak of the season, there is still enough snow on the slopes to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and other snow activities as usual. Visitors can still come and enjoy the snow activities just like before.

Spring Season Ski Resort Price Update at GALA Yuzawa

Starting April 6, the resort will enter the Spring Season. During this period, only the Central Area will be open, and it will remain the only operating area throughout the Spring Season regardless of snow conditions.

For Gondola and Chairlift lift passes, the Spring Season prices start from:
• 1 Day Pass – Adult ¥6,300 / Child ¥2,500
• 2 Day Pass – Adult ¥10,000 / Child ¥4,000
• 4 Hour Pass – Adult ¥5,500 / Child ¥1,900

There is also a Sightseeing Gondola + Chairlift ticket for visitors who would like to go up the mountain to enjoy the snowy scenery and experience the snow (for non-skiers):
• Adult ¥5,000 / Child ¥2,500

The late season is actually another great time to visit, as the resort is usually less crowded than during peak season. Visitors can take the gondola up to enjoy the mountain views or have fun with various snow activities on the slopes in a more relaxed atmosphere.
