One of the problems most people have, at stage 3 of their martial development, when they are actually able to stop incoming attacks, is that they hesitate, underestimate, or are lazy with their defense.

There is a point, no matter what level you are, from which there is no escape without doing your own body harm. Even Gordon Ryan had to fight through a broken foot to come out with a victory.

Our Capoeira kids putting in hard work. To be honest, the workout is tough. The warm ups are tough, but seeing the kids go from day one crying and whining to a month later doing things they never thought they could do is amazing!

You never know how that confidence propel them in future chapters of their life. Yesterday I just sent some techniques to one of my Capoeira girls that I taught when she was a middle schooler, and now she’s a pro wrestler. She just had her second match. It was so cool to see her in the ring and do some of the things we did when she was a kid in the Capoeira class.

Level Testing is always a fun time for somebody!!! Our MMA program, primarily focuses on self-defense, but we also have levels intertwined that represent beginners, amateurs, and professional level competitors as well.
