DRiFTWiRED 4 Happened this year (2017) , on the 6th of August.

Once again, YRC team members Yos**tatsu Kaneda, Tatsuya Kobayashi and 岡村達也 once again helped organize and staff the event. They also got their fair share of sideways action.

DRiFTWiRED is an annual event sponsored by ORVIS automotive lubricants.

It's one of the best (or at least, most fun) drift competitions/events in Japan. It's not tied to any league or rules system and the classes run from basically first-timers to full on professionals.

The competition is one run-elimination. So If you fail, s**t happens. The best part however is the fact that The whole morning and afternoon is free-run drift-as-much-as-you-like so rank amateurs get to run alongside D1 / Formula Drift / MSC professionals.

Each class (pros included) can also put their own money into a pot for a judges choice winner-takes-all bet.
It's basically the sort of s**t that goes down on the touge, with the freedom, speed, relative safety and tire machine of the track.
