Sports Fans,
We are pleased to announce full details of our hot & spicy upcoming tournament on JUNE 16-17 at Sugadaira Kogen in Nagano Prefecture. We hope to hold tournaments for both men's (11-a-side) and women's (6-a-side) teams, and we hope you can join us for another terrific weekend on the lush green grass of Nagano. If you are not part of a team but wish to participate, please get in touch, and we'll find you a team to join. As always, our tournament is open to absolutely everyone

TOURNAMENT DETAILS
Once again we have been given the complete run of the stunning grounds at Sania Park in the mountains of Nagano, and in mid-June the pitches & scenery should be absolutely gorgeous
WHEN? June 16-17 2018 (Saturday start approx 9.30am, Sunday finish 3.30pm at latest)
WHERE? Sania Park, Sugadaira Kogen, Nagano Prefecture.
WHO? A maximum of 15 men's (11-a-side) and 10 women's (6-a-side) teams.
HOW MUCH?
Players staying Fri & Sat - 17,000 yen
Players staying Sat night - 12,000 yen
Supporters staying Fri & Sat - 15,000 yen
Supporters staying Sat night only - 10,000 yen

WHAT DO I GET FOR MY MONEY?
* Hotel accommodation at a hotel close to the grounds, including breakfast & dinner on Saturday evening
* 500 yen's worth of raffle tickets for a charity raffle on Saturday * - we will have some fine prizes and hope to raise over 50,000 yen from this for the relief effort in the Tohoku area
* Curry Lunch on SATURDAY afternoon (lunch not provided on Sunday)
* Beer & trophies for winning teams
* Shuttle buses from hotel grounds for those without transport
* Entrance to SMASHING Party on Saturday night!
* One of the best weekends of the year
* This charity raffle donation is completely optional and you are in no way obliged to pay it. Please deduct 500 per person if you do not wish to take part in the raffle.
HOW DO I APPLY?
* Please email me soon to state that your team wishes to take part in the tournament. (Thanks to those that have already done so).
* I will then send you an application form which you will need to fill in and send back to me TWO WEEKS before the start of the tournament (Friday, June 1st).
* When I receive your application form, I will then send you an invoice, which can be paid by bank transfer (furikomi) by Friday June 8th
Application deadline - Friday, June 1st (Applications must be submitted to me by this date)
Payment deadline - Friday, June 8th (You must bank transfer your teams money to me by this date)
Tournament places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, so please let me know as soon as you can.
Tournament structure
On Saturday, each team will play three or four games (fifteen or twenty minute halves) in a league style tournament. Following these games, teams will be ranked, and then on Sunday all teams will enter a knockout cup competition. For the men, it is likely that we will have two tournaments on Sunday for the 'The best', and 'The rest' (depending on the number of participating teams). The women will likely play each other once over the course of the weekend, with the top two playing in a final.
For now, that's about all. Please let your teams know these details ASAP and lets get the ball rolling, hopefully we can look forward to another fantastic season of footballing in this fab country.
