Walking lunges!

The dancers did these in between each set of hip thrusts.

Why do we do them?

They're great for addressing weakness between the left and right leg, something dancers often experience!

We see the difference in form, fix imbalances and "energy leaks" in their technique, and it's a great light-medium exercise to superset with barbell hip thrusts.

Which is exactly what we did 😏🍑

Someone get a modelling gig!

He never thought he'd be able to lift.

2 months later and he's squatting with a barbell and dropped below 80kg.

We're onto something big!

Confidence boost for the young guns.

The senior athletes are all done and focusing on studies. Only 3 young guys left to push over the line.

Lower body superset 🍑

1a) Barbell Squats (heel elevated)
1b) Good mornings (plates)

Putting together the squat an hip hinge.

For some of the gang it's about applying force efficiently. For others it's about building mobility.

Different goals. Same exercises. And I'm keeping an eye on each and every one of the team 😉

Be an adult.

Make your bloody lunch.

Control what goes in. Higher protein (more lean meat), higher fibre (veggies, wholegrain carbs, brown rice etc).

Plus its nice to save a little money.

Lets skip the notion that salty, starchy processed foods in your combini bento are "healthy". Might be handy in a pinch, and maybe it'll fit into your macros, but they aren't a great long-term solution.

No cue's, just figuring it out in her own time.

Starting with weak form, and finishing strong. Learning to brace, standing tall.

Not perfect, but each rep was better than the last!

Coaches, sometimes you just gotta stand back and let them do their thing 👌
