For Luana Matthies, winning the 2026 Australian Open Women’s Longboard Title was far more than another trophy. It was the culmination of years of dedication, countless hours in the water, and a journey that began long before she paddled out at the Australian Longboard Titles on the Tweed Coast.

The road to the Australian Titles is anything but straightforward. Luana first had to earn her place through Queensland's qualification pathway, progressing from local competition to State Titles before securing her opportunity to compete against the nation's best.

After an outstanding weekend of competition on the Tweed Coast, Luana Matthies claimed Australia’s most prestigious longboard title, securing the Australian Open Women’s crown and earning her place on the 2027 Irukandjis Longboard Team.

An incredible achievement and a testament to the dedication, hard work and style she’s brought to every heat. Congratulations, Luana! We are so proud of you 🙌 We can’t wait to see what’s next.

The Thailand Surfing Federation has named its team for the 20th Asian Games, Aichi–Nagoya 2026, and we’re proud to see ANNI , Natthakron Natthakron and Makam Johnson selected to represent Thailand, competing on NSP, on one of Asia’s biggest sporting stages.

Congratulations to these three rippers , and best of luck to the entire Team Thailand as they head to Japan this September. Competition takes place 25–28 September 2026 at Pacific Long Beach, Tahara City, Japan.
