🥈 Silver (4)

🥉 Bronze (2)

Our youngest athletes showed tremendous courage and skill. Their pools were merged to provide more fights and valuable mat time, competing against athletes with deafness, autism and physical impairments. They embraced every challenge and produced some outstanding performances.
The Under-15 athletes faced a very strong GB field, battling through some tough contests to come away with an excellent medal haul.
The senior competition was another step up in quality, with athletes from both Great Britain and the Netherlands. A special mention goes to Shea, who, after winning 🥇 in the Under-15 event, stepped up to compete in the senior heavyweight division against much older, more experienced and heavier opponents. The crowd gathered around the mat to watch the action, and Shea didn't disappoint, producing some spectacular ippons on the way to a superb 🥈 silver medal.
CJ fought brilliantly to secure 🥉 bronze before a shoulder injury forced him to withdraw from his final contest. We wish him a full and speedy recovery.
Our final competitor, Chloe, faced a merged senior pool featuring ranked GB athletes and Team Netherlands. She opened with a brilliant ippon victory over a familiar Dutch opponent before continuing her impressive form to finish with a well-earned 🥈 silver medal.
👏 Congratulations to every athlete, coach, parent and supporter who made this weekend such a success. We are incredibly proud of you all.
Now it's back to training for several of the team as they prepare to represent Ireland at their next international competition in Poland.
