A 5-day journey of active learning, reflection, and collaboration.
Throughout the week, participants explored learner-centered approaches, putting into practice key competencies and skills for Coach Developers.

One of the key highlights was their ability to design and facilitate a one-day workshop, applying active learning principles in practice.
A meaningful step forward in the development of coaching in Paraguay.

In addition, the NCDA team had the honor of sharing coaching development cases from Japan, Brazil, and Paraguay at COP EXPO 2026, reflecting the NCDA journey.

NCDA 2025–2026 | Week 2 – Day 6

Day 6 focused on integration, reflection, and forward movement.

In the morning, participants worked on their Individual Action Plans, supported by small-group dialogue and each plan was refined collectively.

In the afternoon, we moved into a creative final reflection: “Draw Your NCDA Journey.” Participants visually captured their full NCDA experience.

Another big day of collaboration and meaningful consolidation of learning.

The program concluded with the official closing ceremony and the presentation of certificates. We ended on a joyful note during our group dinner, singing our hearts out together at karaoke and letting loose. 🎤

Deep gratitude to all participants for your engagement, courage, and willingness to grow together, truly embracing the spirit of colLABoration.

NCDA 2025–2026 | Week 2 – Day 5

Day 5 focused on Coaching system and advocacy for the Coach Developer role.

Through the “Dynamic Web” activity, participants experienced how systems function through interaction, self-organization, and dynamic relationships.
Selected participants working on system-level Adaptive Growth Challenges mapped their current coaching ecosystems, defined their “highest good,” and outlined strategic next steps.

The day concluded with Elevator Pitch practice, preparing Coach Developers to clearly and confidently advocate for their role within their sport systems/ context.

Participants demonstrated experiential understanding of systems without heavy theoretical explanation, alongside visible growth in their elevator pitches, moving from scripted delivery to confident and authentic advocacy.

NCDA 2025–2026 | Week 2 – Day 4

Day 4 invited us to go deeper into the technical and philosophical aspects of Coach Development, reflecting on what we do and why we do it.
Participants used AI prompts to articulate their personal coaching philosophies and translate values into practice.

In the afternoon, we had a special Japanese Cultural Experience: a Tea Ceremony (Sadō) prepared by Professor Gushiken, Olympic Gold medalist in gymnastics, former NSSU President, and NCDA Honorary Director. It was a great honor to be able to hold this session once again with him.
The ceremony reflected the principles of Sadō, grounded in wa (harmony), kei (respect), sei (purity), and jaku (tranquility).

NCDA 2025–2026 | Week 2 – Day 3

Day 3 was fully dedicated to Micro-coaching.

Participants engaged in the full cycle: briefing, micro-coaching/ observation, professional discussion, and coach developer reflection.

A strong theme in the all participants reflections was experiential learning. Participants noted that real improvement came from being inside the process, actively engaging in briefing, observation, questioning, and discussion.

In addition, important topics were discussed, such as the need to stay aligned with the coach’s personal growth goals, the creation of psychologically safe environments, the intentional use of Push and Pull questioning to support deeper reflection and development, and a growing awareness of own development as Coach Developers.

A powerful day of practice, reflection, and growth in a true learning laboratory.

NCDA 2025–2026 | Week 2 – Day 2

Day 2 was filled with reflection, observation, and rich dialogue.

We began with the Adaptive Growth Challenge poster presentations, where participants shared the challenges they worked on between Week 1 and Week 2, outlining their goals, actions, obstacles, and next steps followed by thoughtful questions and exchange.

We then explored Push & Pull in professional discussion, refining how different approaches can stimulate thinking and support growth.

Participants observed NSSU coaches in men’s and women’s gymnastics and men’s handball, applying the observation sheet they created on Day 1 in a real coaching context.

The day concluded with professional discussion practice in preparation for the upcoming Micro-coaching sessions.

For the first time in NCDA history, the program was held at another NSSU campus, the Yokohama-Kenshidai Campus.

Powerful learning and meaningful exchanges throughout the day.

NCDA 2025–2026 Week 2 officially kicked off! 🚀

We began the session by reconnecting Cohort 9 and reflecting on the experiences and learnings from Week 1. From there, participants moved into creating their own observation sheets, unpacking the importance of considering context and how it shapes our perceptions.

The sessions grounded in LEARNS principles, set the tone for deeper and more intentional practice ahead.

We wrapped up the day with a Welcome Back Dinner in the style of a traditional Brazilian Festa Junina 🎉🇧🇷, a joyful evening of culture, connection, and community.

A great start filled with reconnection, reflection, and purpose.
More intensive days are ahead, and we’re ready to colLABborate, challenge ourselves, and make this a meaningful and impactful week together!

Stay tuned!
