Daito-ryu Aiki-jujutsu is not an art for those seeking to dominate others or simply become stronger fighters. Daito-ryu Aiki-jujutsu was not created for such people. On the contrary, it is an art of suppleness, protection, and wisdom. As such, this art demands intelligence, culture, body awareness, and ethics. Daito-ryu Aiki-jujutsu is a typical example of the Japanese "Bunbu-ryodo" (文武両道: literally "A Way of Literature and Martial Arts"). Despite this, Daito-ryu techniques can be executed in dangerous manners. Therefore, always be attentive to your partner or opponent. And please adapt your techniques to their abilities, intentions, speed and strength. Remember that all time: Demonstrating your physical strength is not the goal : never! Demonstrating the power of "what is right to do" in bad situations is the true purpose of Daito-ryu Aiki-jujutsu
