Michinoku Coastal Trail

Michinoku Coastal Trail is one of the longest trails in Japan. It follows the Pacific Ocean in the Tohoku region. Surprisingly, the whole distance is over 1,000 kilometers (621.5 miles).
Even though the trail's name suggests coastal, it is interesting that some parts pass through mountains, valleys, villages, and cities.
You know, those areas were devastated by the huge earthquake in 2011. We should not forget the tragic disaster and be motivated for the revitalization with protecting local charms.
