And I’ve shaped this one for myself to whomp with😃 I like how extra clear resin is applied at the top of the tail. Also I like how volan fiberglass is used to enhance turquoise pigment resin. Mabo Handplane gets 3 layers of fiberglass on the bottom and at least 2 layers on the deck and extra resin to reinforce tail and tail edges. Also fiberglass lamination is wrapped around rails and cut according to the outline. Handcrafted in Japan.
いつも作ったそばから手元を離れてしまうので今回は自分用に削ってターコイズピグメント巻きで仕上げてもらいました。ピグメントを表現するためにボランクロスで編み目を出してあります。オリジナルストラッププラグを埋め込む樹脂もターコイズカラーです。このハンドプレーンはロッカーとコンケイブが若干強めです。せっかくなのでストラップもターコイズカラーのをアメリカから取り寄せようと思います。 #ボディーサーフィン #ハンドプレーン

Picked up couple Handplanes from the glass shop. This custom order had Japanese traditional pattern Sei G*i Ha 青海波 fabric inlay trimmed off with resin pinlines. I love how the fabric is thin and translucent. Please DM me for inquiries.

TBT I was pleasantly surprised to see what Wyatt can do with my Almond model as it was newly developed and Wyatt was the first bodysurfer to ring it out. It worked.
