【Message from the Race Director Following the Event】
Kaga Spa Trail Endurance 100 by UTMB has come to a successful close thanks to the support and dedication of so many people.
On behalf of the entire organization, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the runners who took on this challenge, the volunteers and staff who supported the event, the citizens of Kaga who warmly welcomed us, and our sponsors and partners whose support made this race possible.
As we prepared for this year's event, I reflected deeply on the challenges we faced last year, particularly regarding aid station services and retiree transportation. Determined to improve, we worked hard to address those issues and deliver a better experience for everyone. My apology during the pre-race briefing came from that commitment and a desire to be transparent with our community.
Preparation began in early June with course marking, aid station logistics, venue setup, and decorating Kaga Onsen Station. Together with our team, we carefully built every aspect of the event step by step. In the days leading up to the race, the UTMB team joined us on site, and through countless meetings, inspections, and adjustments, we continued refining every detail.
When race day finally arrived, the conditions were far from easy. Yet thanks to the determination of the runners, the dedication of our volunteers and staff, and the encouragement of the local community, the event concluded safely and successfully.
There are still areas where we can improve. However, I believe this year's edition represented a meaningful step forward. That progress belongs not to one person, but to everyone who contributed their time, energy, and passion to this event.
We remain committed to making Kaga Spa Endurance 100 by UTMB even better in the years ahead—safer, more memorable, and more rewarding for every participant.
I sincerely hope to welcome you back to Kaga next year.
Thank you once again for being part of this journey.
