End the season on a High in Hakuba – hike Karamatsu above Happo One for breathtaking views and satisfaction of climbing one of Japan's most impressive peaks! Have you looked at it all season and weary to try? Then here's your chance to watch the sun set and rise over the world! 🗾🏔

With a certified 2-day guided introduction tour and training limited to 4 people (Japanese & English), you will first be drilled on mountaineering & snow/avalanche safety, hiking with crampon & ice axe techniques, basic arrest & ropes use of gear and how to prepare, pack, read the weather for safe summits. You will be in good hands with our ACMG (Canadian) certified mountain guide and also a very accomplished climber.

Day 2 is early start from the Happo-Ike lodge 1800m to push to the first peak of Karamatsu over 2600m. Weather is always a factor of course and the day will be adapted accordingly.

定員4名限定（日本語・英語対応）の2日間の認定ガイド付き入門ツアーとトレーニングでは、まず登山と雪崩安全対策、クランポンとアイスアックスを使用したハイキング技術、基本的な自己停止技術とロープを使用した装備の使い方、安全なサミットのための準備・パッキング・天候読み方を徹底的に学びます。ACMG（カナダ）認定の山岳ガイドであり、非常に優れたクライマーでもある私たちの手にかかれば、安心です。

2日目は、標高1800mの八方池ロッジから早朝に出発し、2600mを超える唐松の最初のピークを目指します。もちろん、天候は常に重要な要素ですので、その日の計画はそれに応じて調整されます。

March 17 - 25 / Wilderness First Aid courses in Myoko hosted by Japan Outdoor Institute & WMA Japan (*please note date amended to 25th last day.)

We will be running combined WAFA / WFR / WFR Bridge & WFR Refresher sessions this March �Training will take place at the Myoko Youth learning Centre, which also provides cheap accommodation & meals.

If you are interested in getting your Wilderness First Aid certification, learning to care for patients in emergencies whilst out in remote areas – this is the training for you. Also for those who are certified and need a refresher before your licence expires.

If you are an existing WMA / Japan Outdoor Institute student – write to us first for your member discount coupon.

March 17-20 WAFA course (4 days)
March 22-25 WFR Bridge & Refresh (3 days)
March 17-25 WFR Full course (8-days)
