Greeting All TaizanRyu Supporters!

We are excited to announce the 2025 Peaceful Mountain System Seminar! We've made some improvements to streamline the process, making it more efficient for you. Additionally, we now offer a direct contact line to reach the event coordinator. The purpose of this email is to share important details about the seminar. Below, you'll find answers to some frequently asked questions that may be helpful.


1. How to I pay for the event? Please use the link below to pay for the event.

2. What type of payment methods do you accept? Pay by credit card or debit card

3. Where will the seminar be held? Enter the Dragon located at 98 Ocean Avenue Jersey City NJ 07305.

4. Is there parking? No there is no parking however there is plenty of off-street parking available within a 1 block radius of the seminar.

5. Is there a list of places to stay for out-of-town guest? Yes please see the list of places to stay below.

A. Hudson Plaza Motel Located 0.8 miles away from the Dojo
190 W 63rd St Rt. 440 Bayonne NJ, 07002. 201-823-2000.

B. Ramada by Wyndham Jersey City Located 3.4 miles away from the Dojo
65 Tonnelle Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07306. 201-432-6100.

C. Peachtree Suites Located 3.7 miles away from the Dojo 78 Cottage St. Jersey City NJ 07306. 551-200-9647.

6. What do I need to bring? You and your uniform all levels are welcomed, and all Dojos are welcomed!

7. If you are a TaizanRyu member? You have the option to wear a blue GI only if you have one. For the first day of the seminar. If you do not have a blue GI come as you are with whatever color GI you have.

8. What will be provided? A full Syllabus of the Seminar once you arrive. A flipbook of Soke Miller’s memories and history.

9. Can I join The Peaceful Mountain System? Yes to Join it’s a $125.00 lifetime membership fee. Every Year there is a $25.00 fee to be paid to the Hombu in Japan.

The Osameshiki official yearly ending ceremony ended with Nidai Soke presenting one time only to five of the oldest Sandaikichu shihan the rank of Judan Shihan 10th Degree. Shodai Okuyama before his death wrote a letter to his Son now Nidai Soke Toshio Okuyama. The letter mention the following "it is my intentions to promote 5 Shihan whom I taught during my time as Shodai founder of Hakkoryu Jujutsu which I started in 1941 in Omiya Japan." Shodai instructed his Son to "bestow this rank to those living Shihan this prestige rank based on Tenure, Loyalty, Ability and Knowledge of the Okuden and secret training I have given these selected individuals, with the ability of Koho Shiatsu Igaku and there overall dedication to my legacy." The individual were 5, four Japanese with a total years of training equaling 323 years of experience and the last shihan and American who started his Hakkoryu Career with Hakkoryu Shihan Michael DePasquale also Soke of the Yosh*tsune System and started his path to Hakkoryu with Shodai in Feb of 1972 while station at Misawa Air Base Japan. His years of Hakkoryu study total 52 years, with the five below mentioned is 375 years of experience.

Aki passed away at 74 . God took her to early but with a purpose . I first heard her sing 1972 at Misawa japan I was 20 years old with the USAF . I have her album . I will miss her but her music lives forever . May God be merciful and except her in Heaven
