The Chicken Legs and Benchwarmers once again made the trip to the rice paddies of Fukuchiyama, chasing a fifth consecutive Tambo Rugby title.
As always, Saturday night delivered plenty of laughs, BBQ, cold drinks, questionable decisions, and top-tier banter with friends old and new.
Come game day, both teams battled their way through the competition, setting up an incredible third consecutive all-Gaijin final.
Chicken Legs struck first, but the Benchwarmers refused to go away and fought their way back into the contest. With the scores locked at full time, the championship was decided in sudden-death overtime.
Benchwarmers defended bravely, but Chicken Legs finally found a gap and crossed for the winning try, sealing the title in dramatic fashion.
A massive thank you to the organisers and everyone who makes Tambo Rugby one of the highlights of the year. We'll be back.
