スフィラ 2 RS(スイング・EN-C)
Have you heard about the SRS - the Sports-Class Racing Series?
The SRS describes itself as an international series of high-level FAI Cat 2 competitions for Sports-Class pilots. The idea is clear: racing for pilots who want to fly mid-aspect wings, take the next step after fun or national comps, and compete on a more comparable level of equipment.
Only Sports-Class wings are allowed - EN-C and below. No EN-D. No CCC.
That makes the format especially interesting for experienced EN-B and EN-C pilots who want real racing, proper tasks and strong competition, without stepping into the open-class world.
What we really like about the SRS concept is that it does not treat Sports-Class as a stepping stone. It gives this category its own space and its own racing culture. And each event stands on its own, so pilots can join individual competitions without committing to the whole series.
And this is where it gets interesting for you SRS pilots:
The SPHERA 2 RS is SRS-approved on its EN-C certification, while carrying a lot of the EN-D performance DNA it was originally built around.
That is exactly what makes it so exciting for Sports-Class racing.
You get a modern EN-C two-liner with serious racing potential: strong efficiency, high-speed stability and a very accessible handling character. Less mental load. More room for making decisions, staying in the gaggle and focusing on strategy.
Markus Bönisch already showed what that step can look like: first strong appearance on the SPHERA 2 RS, and straight into a personal best.
So if you are planning to race SRS, looking for a high-performance EN-C two-liner, or simply want to find out what the SPHERA 2 RS can unlock in your flying, get in touch.
