🦁🐟 Meet the lionfish. Yes, that dramatic crown of fins is real.
This beauty is known as the Red Sea lionfish, and it is one of the most eye catching fish you can spot while diving or snorkeling in Aqaba.

Those long, flowing fins are not just for show. They are venomous. The spines help protect the lionfish from predators.

But do not worry. Lionfish are calm and slow moving. They do not chase divers. We just keep a respectful distance and enjoy the view.

Fun fact:
Lionfish are expert hunters. They use their wide fins to corner small fish, then strike in a split second. It is like watching an underwater ballet with a surprise ending.

The best part? In the clear waters of the Red Sea, you can often see them hovering near reefs, looking like floating fans in the blue.

If you love colorful marine life and unique underwater moments, this is your sign to explore beneath the surface with us. Every dive and every snorkel trip brings a new surprise. 🌊🤿

Ready to meet the reef’s royalty?

Captain Daifallah Al-Farajat, chairman of the board of commissioners of the Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, said said more than 140 aircraft crossed Jordanian airspace on Sunday, representing 56 percent of normal overflight traffic due to regional restrictions.

At Queen Alia International Airport, about 120 flights, arrivals and departures, were handled, reflecting 60 percent operational capacity after several foreign airlines temporarily suspended routes.

🔌 We are often asked what kind of sockets we have in Jordan… and whether you need an adapter. So here’s the simple answer.

In Jordan, the standard voltage is 230 V and the frequency is 50 Hz.
You will mostly find these plug types:

• Type C – the two round pins (common in Europe)
• Type F – also two round pins, with side clips
• Type G – the three rectangular pins (UK style)

Many hotels, including ours, often have sockets that fit more than one type. But not all rooms and buildings are the same across the country.
So, do you need an adapter?

👉 If you are coming from most European countries, you usually do not need one.
👉 If you are coming from the UK, you may or may not need one, depending on the socket in your room.
👉 If you are coming from the USA, Canada, or other countries with different plug types, you will need an adapter.

Good news: Most modern phone chargers and laptop chargers already support 110–240V. Just check the small print on your charger to be sure. If it says “Input: 100–240V,” you are fine. You only need a plug adapter, not a voltage converter.

Our tip? Pack a small universal travel adapter. It saves stress and space.

We hope this helps you plan your trip smoothly. And if you have any other practical travel questions about Aqaba or Jordan, just ask. We are happy to help you feel at home by the Red Sea 🌊😊
