Join us for the second launch of Fanzeen Issue 7 at F.A.D.A. 317 this coming January 17 at 6:00 PM.

There will also be an exhibition of the comics that were drawn by amazing artists inspired by true stories from our country of disabled individuals, who were gracious to allow us into their lives.

The graffiti workshop at F.A.D.A. 317 with yours truly is back.

The workshop FADA 317 will cover the following:

- History of graffiti
- History of local graffiti
- How to draw for the streets and walls
- How to pick a wall
- Actual practice on a wall

Suitable for the ages of 10 up until 60.

We just launched Issue 7 of Fanzeen . This is was the first launch and their will be a second one after the new year.

The issue is entitled Qader / Qadera because it is inspired by true stories of disabled individuals from my country.

We held a day long workshop with Dr. Sarah Benson, Associate Professor at University of Birmingham, Alaa Qattam (British Council) .bc, Miss Baheia Misk (Bunayat Centre for Special Education) and Dr. Khaldoun Hijazin (JAAD) to ensure we do not end up creating cliched stories.

Each artist then contacted disabled individuals to literally draw from their lives.

The show is open to the public today and tomorrow at the Contractors Syndicate, and will soon re-launch at my studio F.A.D.A. 317. You can learn more about how it all came to be through the introductions that are on display part of the show.

I was honored to draw a short surreal comic about how The Bunayat Centre for Special Education came to be thanks to an inspiring true story told to me by Miss Misk.

The photo collage captures the session at and an inspiring visit to Irbid to the home of storyteller Safaa, whose work inspired the cover.

Graffiti Saturdays are still on at my studio F.A.D.A. 317 .

Book now before tomorrow yesterday!

What will you learn through this workshop:

1. History of graffiti from around the world and Amman, and the vast cosmos.

2. Ages 10 - 60

2. Drawing practice - coming up with a sketch, character, a wall tag of your own and a street name (if you plan to do this forever).

3. Spray can outline basics. For coloring and painting you can book for the following Saturday.

4. Spray painting your own piece within the walls of my studio - exterior walls of course. I cannot have you paint inside my studio 😉

5. How to scout, find and paint your own wall in our Amman and beyond

This is a no bu****it course. You will learn how to handle a can, spray a wall and know the history of the movement.

Spray cans and material are available.

Message me to book and ask about the fee and any other detail on your mind - and please specify if you want the brief or extensive workshop.
