1. Shoshin (初心): Beginner's mind; an open, eager attitude free of ego or preconceptions, vital even for masters.

2. Zanshin (残心): Remaining or lingering mind; total mental and physical alertness before, during, and after a strike.

3. Mushin (無心): No mind; a state of emptiness where actions flow without conscious thought or hesitation.

4. Fudoshin (不動心): Immovable mind; emotional stability and courage that remains unshaken under pressure or fear.

5. Senshin (先心 / 浄心): Enlightened or purified mind; a compassionate, clear spirit that harmonizes and reflects truth.
