In Loving Memory of Reverend Christene Simpson, JP

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
— 2 Timothy 4:7

It is with profound sadness that we mourn the passing of Reverend Christene Simpson, JP—a mighty woman of God, devoted educator, compassionate community leader and true pillar of Charles Town.

For an extraordinary 35 years, Reverend Simpson faithfully served as Pastor of the Church of God in Jamaica in Charles Town. Her life was dedicated to serving God, strengthening the Church and uplifting the people of her community.

A retired educator, she made a stellar and lasting contribution to education. Her passion for nurturing young minds continued through the Early Childhood Institute she operated at the church, where she positively influenced the lives of many children and families.

Reverend Simpson also served as a Justice of the Peace for the St. Mary Chapter, a marriage officer and a valued member of numerous boards. She was a generous philanthropist and a caring woman whose kindness reached people both near and far.

Pastor Simpson raised, guided and cared for many children. She became a mother, mentor and source of strength to countless individuals. She gave freely of herself and devoted her life to the work of God and the service of humanity.

Her untimely passing has left an immeasurable void. However, her remarkable legacy of faith, leadership, education, compassion and selfless service will live on in the many lives she touched.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, church family, friends, colleagues and the wider Charles Town community.

Rest in eternal peace, Reverend Christene Simpson, JP. Your earthly work is finished, but your faith, love and legacy will never be forgotten.
