24TH ANNUAL SCHOLASTIC TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
UNDER-8 SECTION REPORT

The Under-8 Section of the 24th Annual Scholastic Team Championship showcased some of Jamaica’s most promising young chess talent, with teams displaying impressive skill, determination, and competitive spirit throughout the tournament.

Following an exciting series of rounds, the top three teams were:

1st Place – Creative Kids Learning Academy A-Team
2nd Place – Stella Maris Preparatory School
3rd Place – St. Andrew Preparatory School

Creative Kids Learning Academy A-Team emerged as champions with an outstanding performance, demonstrating strong chess skills, focus, and consistency throughout the competition.

Stella Maris Preparatory School secured second place after an impressive showing, while St. Andrew Preparatory School completed the podium with a commendable third-place finish.

Congratulations to all the young players, coaches, parents, and supporters who contributed to a memorable and successful Under-8 competition. Their enthusiasm and dedication continue to build a strong foundation for the future of scholastic chess in Jamaica.

24TH ANNUAL SCHOLASTIC TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

JUNIOR HIGH SECTION REPORT

The Junior High Section of the 24th Annual Scholastic Team Championship showcased exceptional talent, determination, and competitive spirit from some of Jamaica's leading schools. Following an exciting series of rounds, the top five teams were:

1st Place – Campion College A-Team
2nd Place – Campion College B-Team
3rd Place – Hillel Academy
4th Place – Jamaica College
5th Place – Denbigh High School

Campion College A-Team emerged as champions with an undefeated performance, demonstrating remarkable consistency and strength across all boards. Campion College B-Team secured second place after an impressive showing throughout the tournament, while Hillel Academy captured third place with a commendable performance. Jamaica College and Denbigh High School rounded out the top five in a highly competitive field.

TOP FEMALE TEAM

The highest-placed female team in the Junior High Section was:

• Campion College Girls A-Team

The team delivered an outstanding performance and finished as the leading all-female team in the division. Their success reflects the continued growth, development, and impact of female participation in scholastic chess.
