🚨SOAPBOX UPDATE🚨
We've been in dialogue with Jersey Police regarding the planned event. The road will be handed over to contractors by Jersey Police in the coming week and Contractors at the site are awaiting permission to demolish or rejuvenate the site. Until that time they are unable to give us assurance that the Glacis field and the surrounding roads will be free so we have decided to postpone the event. But don't worry, there's good news too!
We're currently seeking permission to bring the event into town, probably in the second week of September. This will give everyone a chance to take their summer holidays and finish up with school before the event.
For those teams who have already paid, we're happy to refund your money, but we hope you'll stick with us and have confidence in our new plan. Additionally, if you've already built a soapbox, we'd love to display it at JIMF and possibly even have a dry run with a few crews on Sunday, 4th June to test.
And for those of you still thinking about building a soapbox, now you have even more time! Thanks for your understanding and we hope to see you at the new and improved event in September! Watch this space!
