My first time logging in since June and whoa, I feel rather rusty. Just passing by to drop a quick thank you post for all the support this year! For those who have worked with me, a thank you for your hard work and for your business!
This year was perhaps the toughest in many respects; but the most rewarding/insightful year I’ve ever had. We battled with a narcissist for the most part of this year. This resulted in us making the most educated professional decision yet; to end that business relationship. It also resulted in us making the toughest decision; the resulting closure of our PT Studio.
I could tell you about all the stuff I’ve had to go through this year but no need; instead I tell you that I “discovered” the practice of meditation and truthful mindfulness - not to be confused with the jibba jabba some people try to sell you over here. I’ve discovered a lot about myself and more importantly, a lot about life. I currently feel like a completely different person to the one I was a year ago - I mean, life is all about growing right?
I no longer power lift. In fact, I mostly weight train 2-3x per week. I have also found my enthusiasm for yoga - which has not only benefitted me physically but more importantly, my mind and my outlook on life.
I’ve almost entirely stopped online coaching too. I work solely with a handful of people now. This year really burned me out and I started to see many cracks appear. This allowed bad habits to creep in so I decided it was time to cut back on my working hours and invest more in myself.
As we approach the end of the year, I advise you to not make “new year resolutions” but instead, make “past year reflections”, think about what you may have overcome, what you have learned, the connections you’ve made and consider your personal growth and development.
Go into the new year excited about the things to come (both good and bad) and remember, you can’t control everything but you can most certainly control how you respond and react.
Big love to you all, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ❤️
