The format of this group is built around hosting a weekly endurance training session at 6:30 pm every Wednesday at F.B. To provide a common place for Jersey distance runners of all ability levels to work together, train and improve.
2. To provide structured, individualised weekly training plans for any interested runners.
3. To create a fun environment in which to train. Runners of all ability lev
els are encouraged to show up and participate (please forward this email along to any interested runners that we may have left off the list!). If the interest is high, we will host a second session on a different day, as we realise not all will be able to make it on Wednesdays consistently. We want to create this as a sustainable project and therefore it has to be athlete funded to allow us to offer the best possible service. We are currently in talks with Kit Chamier to deliver an endurance running specific nutrition presentation as well as looking at various social and fund raising events to solely benefit this group. The ball has already started rolling to find a potential sponsor to help build this project so if anyone included knows of any potential sponsorship opportunities please let us know. This can be sold to a potential sponsor as a great community project with a lot of local publicity as well as the element of the Island Games and Commonwealth Games hopefuls. Group identity is also important to us and our athletes so we are looking into Endurance Project training kit at the moment, again any ideas welcome. All we ask for is commitment to the project to allow us to get it off the ground, we have included a breakdown of all the payment options below:
Wednesday night session (including advice on a generic program) - £20 per month
However, the Wednesday sessions are free until 1st November. We think it's important everyone knows exactly what we're offering before they commit any money to it. After 1st November we'll begin the monthly rate of £20. Additionally, we're setting up individual specific coaching packages, which we've outlined below (these include the Wednesday night session)
1. Individual training program design with specific goals and regular coach email contact (limited availability) - Price on Application
We design a specific weekly training program geared to your appropriate training paces, with your goal race distance and time in mind. We email with you throughout the week to go over specific sessions and tweak the training as needed, but don't meet for training in person save for the Wednesday night session.
2. Individual training program design with specific goals, regular coach email contact, and personally supervised training sessions (limited availability) - Price on Application
We design a weekly training program geared to your appropriate training paces, with your goal race distance and time in mind. We email with you throughout the week to go over specific sessions and tweak the training as needed, and also meet with you in person in addition to the Wednesday night sessions so we can supervise your sessions properly and give useful feedback
