Thank you to all our dancing pals in Guernsey for welcoming us last week for the St James Dance Festival. We had an absolute ball (pun intended!)
Fabulous live music, delicious cakes and lots and lots of dancing. A big gang from Jersey went for the whole weekend and a couple even popped in via rib boat for the final tea dance… great fun

Bugle boy!

Finally downloading some of the vast number of photos and videos from Liberation day.

We had so much fun performing at the main stage for and then enjoying the bands both there and into the night (thank you for an incredible set at the )

If you’re brand new to dancing, We do 6 week beginner courses to give you the basics and then for anyone feeling a little more confident, we have a drop in class on Monday nights at 8.15 in Milbrook (St Matthew’s Glass Church Hall). Daniel and Michelle, two of our Jersey Lindy Hop teachers ( ) loved spending time with the Year 5 pupils at Janvrin School today!

We kicked things off with a fun and fast Lindy Hop demonstration and then taught the children some Charleston moves including a little pop jump! The kids were absolutely amazing, and we had such great fun all dancing together at the end. 💃🕺

If you’d like to see more, come and join us tomorrow at Liberation Square as part of the Liberation Day festivities! 🇯🇪🎶

We’ll be teaching and dancing from 3pm, the big band will be playing, and the dance floor will be open so there’ll be plenty of chance to practice your moves or even try Lindy Hop for the very first time. We will do a performance at 4.30pm

If you’ve never given swing dancing a go before, come down, watch the performances, soak up the atmosphere, and maybe even join in! We’d love to see lots of new faces and hope to welcome many of you to classes soon.

Ready to swing into something new?

Our Beginner Lindy Hop course starts March 22nd and we’d love you to join us!

Lindy Hop is a fun, energetic partner dance from the swing era (think big band jazz from the 1940s - Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Chick Webb)

Perfect if you want to try something new, meet people and have a laugh on a Sunday afternoon. Come with your partner, a friend or on your own (we rotate partners)

And although it’s old school tunes, we have all ages … our youngest is in their teens and our most experienced has just turned 90!)

💃 Come with a partner or on your own
🎶 Fun, relaxed atmosphere

Starts: March 22nd
Sundays: 3–4pm

Happy Birthday to our fearless leader, Daniel!

The man who keeps us on our toes (literally), stretches our swing-outs that little bit further, and somehow makes even the trickiest rhythms feel like a whole lot of fun

Thank you for your energy, patience, dad jokes (!) and the relentless passion you bring to our Lindy Hop family here in Jersey. We’re so lucky to learn from you, laugh with you, and share the floor with you every week.
We all love dancing with you!

And Daniel… watch out for that Birthday Jam Friday night 👀🎂 It is Freebie Friday after all…
