One year. Three lines. One goal.
From Rätikon to Wilder Kaiser, via Berchtesgaden,
Lara Neumeier completes the Alpine Trilogy in under 12 months — becoming the first woman to do it within a year.
Silbergeier. End of Silence. Des Kaisers Neue Kleider.
Iconic routes. Long, technical, mental. But above all, a personal journey.
“For a long time, these three routes felt out of reach. I had spent enough time on the route to know it was possible… but the season was coming to an end. It started snowing, the days were getting shorter, and there just wasn’t enough time to give it a proper ground-up try anymore. I made the tough decision to walk away and come back in 2026.”
Reset. Training. Back with a clear goal.
“I came back to training in January with Des Kaisers Neue Kleider as my main goal for the spring. I was feeling a kind of pressure I hadn’t really experienced before… this could have been the last possible day to complete the Trilogy within twelve months — a goal I had set myself a year earlier.”
“After a long break, I went for it — and climbed it first try. When I clipped the anchor, I knew I would make it to the top. We topped out at 7 pm. Relieved, happy, proud — and the Alpine Trilogy finally done.”
A year-long project.
“In the end, it was about so much more than just climbing three routes. It was my first big project as a professional athlete… the biggest, longest, and hardest project of my climbing career so far.”
