“Can you see when a blade needs sharpening, or can you feel it?”
The truth is: you feel it long before you can see it.

Most skaters don’t immediately think: “I need to sharpen my blades.”

Instead, they think: “my jumps feel worse today, my edges don’t hold the same, I feel unstable on my skating”.

And almost without realizing it, they start adapting: changing movements, forcing more power, adjusting entries when maybe the real issue is simply that the edge is no longer working the way it should.
