There are stories hidden beneath the surface, waiting to be discovered.
In the first episode of SUEX Stories, we dive into the waters of the Egadi Islands with Mario Arena and the SDSS: The Society for Documentation of Submerged Sites team, exploring the site of one of the most important naval battles of antiquity: the Battle of the Egadi Islands, fought between Rome and Carthage in 241 BC.
At around 80 meters below the surface, history is still being uncovered, documented and preserved through highly demanding underwater archaeological operations. In this extraordinary project, SUEX supports Mario Arena and the SDSS team, providing technology designed to help explorers operate in challenging environments and go further in their missions.
Discover the first SUEX Story and dive into a piece of history.
