There’s a place in Verona that isn’t on TripAdvisor. Not on Google Maps either. We’ve known about it for years.
This isn’t a marketing strategy. These are simply the places where locals go what everyone around here calls “their usual spot.”
Verona is full of them. The market where early in the morning you’ll find both chefs and grandmothers standing side by side, picking the best produce for a recipe they’ve made a thousand times and will never get wrong. The little square where, newspaper in hand and a glass of good local wine nearby, the eternal debate about the football team plays out like clockwork. The café that makes coffee exactly the way the regulars take it, every single day: just right.
