Looking back to the last month of Camp, which has been full of challenges, learning, and growth for our DUCA women’s team.
While our riders were wrapping up the final stage of the Giro della Toscana on 7 September, Lucy Griffin represented us at a U19 race in Bergamo, showing impressive progress and finishing strongly in a very competitive field — a clear sign of her steady development.
Next came the Giro del Mediterraneo (UCI 2.2) from 19–21 September, where we lined up with a full squad of six riders. Unfortunately, the lingering effects of the shared illness from earlier in the month — along with a few crashes — took their toll on performances. Still, the determination to finish and support each other never wavered. Once again, Georgia Rompotou proved her consistency and maturity beyond her years, showing great potential as an U19 competing against elite riders.
We also took part in the National Race in Bolzano on 18 September, rounding off a demanding block of racing for our women’s group.
No standout results to celebrate this time — but plenty of lessons learned. Success in sport isn’t linear; it’s built step by step, through resilience, patience, and the ability to face what’s outside our control — be it illness, crashes, or tough days on the bike. What matters most is the bond this group continued to build during months: friendship, trust, and the shared pursuit of progress.
Every race, every setback, and every finish line made them stronger.
We close the 2025 season with *72 race days* 🤯 1 win, a few podiums, two riders signed to UCI teams & who took part in , many more returning for next year.
Thanks to the riders, their parents, their teams & their coaches back home for the trust in our work & our mission. & special thanks to our staff on the ground for putting so much effort in this amazing team & amazing dream ❤️
