Un grandissimo ringraziamento a GEATOP, azienda specializzata in metrologia applicata e collaudi dimensionali, per il fondamentale supporto.

Grazie ai loro tecnici esperti e all’attrezzature d’avanguardia ci è stato possibile scansionare alcune componenti deI nostri prototipi, ottenendo file 3D di precisione millimetrica.

Con la scansione dello scafo di ITA27 è stato possibile realizzare un CAD coperta che si congiungesse perfettamente ad essa.

I file di timoni e j-foil, invece, ci hanno permesso di confrontare il pezzo da noi prodotto con il modello CAD originale, confermando la grande qualità produttiva raggiunta dal Team durante gli anni.

Grazie ancora all’azienda per la preziosissima collaborazione!

🌊 ITA27: The Countdown to SuMoth 2026 Begins!
The shipyard is buzzing, the lights are staying on late, and the vision is finally taking its physical form. We are thrilled to share that the construction of ITA27 is reaching its most critical milestones as we prepare for the SuMoth 2026 challenge! 🚀
🛠️ Where we stand today:
We’ve officially crossed a major finish line: the bonding of the hull and deck with the internal structure is complete. Seeing the structural skeleton finally sealed within its skin is a huge moment for the team, marking the birth of our new SuMoth.
Currently, the boat and the Gantry are in the paint booth, receiving the finish they deserve. Meanwhile, our composite specialists are working around the clock; the wings (terrazze) and the foils are currently in production right here in our shipyard. Every component is being crafted to meet the high standards required for such a technical competition.
🗓️ The Road to the Water:
The finish line is in sight!
• May 18th: We are finalizing the last details for the official launch event.
• Last week of May: The moment of truth. We are pushing hard to ensure ITA27 is fully commissioned and ready to touch the water for her very first sea trials.
Every hour of sanding, laminating, and planning is about to pay off. We can’t wait to see this SuMoth lift above the waves and show what it’s capable of. Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes updates!

The shipyard reached a definitive technical milestone today, as the successful completion of the Gantry lamination marks a major shift in the project’s momentum. After a thorough curing process, the component has been fully validated against our engineering standards. This transition is a key victory for the production team; with the structural integrity of the Gantry confirmed, we have officially moved past one of the most complex phases of its build.

In parallel preparation for the internal structural bonding is going on. This critical stage involves the permanent integration of the boat’s skeleton with the hull. It is a high-stakes operation that demands absolute precision in alignment and a disciplined approach to adhesive chemistry, as there is no margin for error when establishing the boat’s long-term rigidity. Our crew is currently executing this workflow with the technical focus required to ensure the boat can withstand the harsh conditions it was designed to encounter.

We are no longer looking at an assembly of separate parts, but a boat taking its final, functional shape. As the internal structure locks into place, the launch date is moving from a conceptual target to a tangible reality. We are pushing forward with a methodical pace, focused on getting ITA 27 out of the shed and onto the water.

⛵ Victoria: April Update! 🌊
When we last checked in back in March, we were deep in the workshop, surrounded by resin and tools, gearing up for the upcoming season. After months of intense preparation behind the scenes, we are thrilled to announce: Victoria is back in the water! 🎉

Seeing her back in her natural element is always a milestone, but this launch was about more than just sailing. It was a crucial test for our brand-new control system—and the verdict is in: it works perfectly! 🚀

Beyond the controls, these sessions allowed us to push our telemetry system to the next level. We are now capturing data with significantly higher precision, providing us with real-time insights into the boat’s performance (gait), control responses, and loads. This leap in data quality is a game-changer for our engineering analysis and ongoing optimizations. 📊💻

The season is officially in full swing, and the energy on deck is soaring. We’re heading into the next phase of testing and development with great momentum.
