Yesterday, the sailing world lost one of its greatest storytellers with the passing of Italy’s Carlo Borlenghi.
A legend behind the lens, Carlo was much more than a photographer. He had the extraordinary ability to capture the beauty, drama, people and emotions of sailing like few others could.
For decades, Carlo was a familiar and much-loved presence at the Tre Golfi Sailing Week, documenting our races, our waters and so many unforgettable moments between Naples, Capri and Sorrento. Through his images, he helped tell our story to the world, and many of his photographs have become part of the history of the Tre Golfi itself.
The Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia and the entire Tre Golfi Sailing Week family join the international sailing community in mourning the loss of a true master and extend their deepest condolences to our dear Alessandra, Carlo’s family, friends and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.
Fair winds, Carlo. Your pictures, and the stories you told through them, will remain with us forever.
