Ringing in 10 years of XTERRA Belgium with one of the most iconic and instantly recognisable venues on the circuit, and just the right amount of mud to fit the occasion. Top honours go to Nicolas Duré and Kerri-Ann Upham for crossing first on the day, but credit also goes to the Belgium crew and every athlete, volunteer, and brilliantly rowdy supporter that has made this one a calendar highlight for a straight decade. Two Italian classics in the space of a month. Right after crowning the new European Champions in Trentino, we're heading south from Lake Molveno to Lake Scanno. Another of Italy's most beautiful natural lakes, this time coupled with the rough and rugged trails of the Abruzzo mountains. Signature Italian XTERRA feel at every turn, from the lake to the cobbled stairs and the fresh smell of espresso in the morning.

One month until this behemoth. Where kids as young as three are in on the action and veterans in their 70s return to show us how it's done. Known for being the biggest and loudest, but it's built almost entirely on being inclusive. It’s one for the bucket list, and it's ready to take over the Vosges mountains once again. XTERRA France. In two weeks we return to Trentino, but only the mountains will be familiar. On the ground and around the lake we're carving out an entirely fresh experience to give Europe's biggest event of the season a completely new feel. Sunset runs, open-air dinners and entertainment, and a heap of local flavours are just the start, and that's before we even hit the trails.

For three days this August, the Šumava forest in Czech becomes the stomping ground of one of the biggest calendar events of the year. Two World Cup races bring all the star power, while Full, Sprint, Super Sprint, and Kids Triathlons get the community moving alongside the biggest names in the sport.

An alpine playground absolutely made for this game. Glassy waters at the base of sheer limestone cliffs, and a community that lives and breathes off-road adventure. August 28–29 we head back to Altaussee for XTERRA Austria with a full set of races, from kids and beginners to the full distance shebang. The colours, the people, the place. XTERRA Croatia was an absolute cracker. Counting the days until we do it all again on the Island of Lošinj in 2027.
