⚠️Extreme caution is advised!
RV freediving (Residual Volume diving, or empty-lung diving) is an advanced technique where a freediver completely exhales all the air from their lungs before descending. Starting a dive at residual volume simulates intense pressure changes at shallow depths, helping divers adapt to chest compression, train the mammalian dive response, and master advanced equalization.

Core Safety and Training Rules:
Strict Depth Limits: Usually restricted to very shallow depths (often keeping initial training to 3–4 meters, rarely exceeding 10–12 meters for most recreational progression).

Low Repetitions: Limited to very few dives per session (maximum of about 5 dives) to avoid overstraining lung tissues.

Expert Supervision: This is an advanced discipline carrying risks of lung squeeze if done incorrectly; it requires gradual practice and professional coaching.
