🔴I nostri 4️⃣2️⃣0️⃣ qualificati per i Campionati Mondiale e Europeo di luglio!
Appena concluso con otto prove il Trofeo Uniqua a Cesenatico che ha definito le squadre italiane qualificate ai principali appuntamenti internazionali, e noi ci siamo!
3 equipaggi al Campionato del Mondo, 1-11 luglio, Biscarrosse, Francia:

Un risultato che premia il lavoro dell'intera squadra agonistica del nostro club di cui fanno parte anche Alessio Secchi & Nicolò Barone, Giulio Berra & Emma Cenderello, Filippo Lorenzi e Gian Carlo Noris Guasco, Margherita Trucco & Andrea Lembo, protagonisti insieme ai compagni di una stagione di crescita e importanti risultati.

⛵👨‍🍳Grandi Regate Internazionali – Artica II and Penelope win VELA & SAPORI
Once again this year, as part of the Grandi Regate Internazionali, VELA & SAPORI took place: the challenge at sea and in the kitchen that saw 14 crews compete in preparing a recipe inspired by the theme “The Scents of the Sea”.
Originality, presentation, difficulty and flavour were the four judging criteria that awarded victory to “A noi ci piace”, the dish prepared by PENELOPE with chef Michele Renna and the Italian Navy crew: a delicate prawn served on a pea purée, enriched with nasturtiums and local edible violets.
The combined VELA & SAPORI + Sailing prize went instead to ARTICA II, with Commander Chef Domenico Tricarico and another Italian Navy crew, thanks to “Ricciola in Fiore”: amberjack tartare marinated with citrus fruits and fresh herbs, served on a bed of edible flowers, fennel and Tropea onion.
The dishes were presented in front of the public and the jury composed of Marco Cimarosti, Chairman of the Race Jury, Edoardo Varese, CEO and co-owner of the Royal Hotel, food entrepreneur Paola Marella and Yacht Club Sanremo Vice President Gianni Bojolo.

The 14th edition of VELA & SAPORI concluded with a show cooking by OSTERIA DEL MARINAIO in Sanremo: chefs Umberto Brancaccio, Vittorio Carillo and Simone Biffi prepared a calamarata pasta with local red prawns, accompanied by the vibrant sounds of TRIBAL TRIP.

GRANDI REGATE INTERNAZIONALI - CIM TROPHY: THE WINNERS
Beautiful summer conditions welcomed 250 sailors, with light winds up to 10 knots allowed the completion of the opening 18-mile coastal race in the Gulf of Sanremo, followed on Saturday by a second shorter-course race. “Vela & Sapori” Friday combined sailing and culinary challenges at sea, and engaged crews with the showcooking by Sanremo chef Umberto Brancacci.

• Classic Yacht: Huna II (1967) – YC Sanremo
• Classic IOR: Matrero (1970), Argentine flag – CN San Isidro
• Open: Sula Iron Fox, Arpège launched in 1972 with a round-the-world voyage in her history – CV Erix

• Sangermani Open: Patrician Tiger (1969), arrived from Amsterdam for her first regatta after a three-year restoration – Netherlands

Alongside the regatta, the event also celebrated the 130th anniversary gathering of the Cantieri Sangermani, featuring a dedicated exhibition in the Race Village. Yachts taking part in the Gathering included also ELTSIR (1957), the 25-metre MASA YUME (1983), the 30-metre schooner JULIE MOTHER designed by Carlo Sciarelli and arrived from Sardinia, and GUIA 2000 (1979), the iconic IOR yacht recently returned to the water after a seven-year restoration carried out by her current Tuscan owners.
The event also hosted the prize-giving ceremony of the CIM Classic Yacht Trophy 2025.
Special Be!Gin Begonia Flower Gin awards celebrated five anniversaries: the 50th birthdays of Il Moro di Venezia, Resolute Salmon and Bonnie, the 60th anniversary of Crivizza and the 70th anniversary of Artica II.
The Sanremo maison DAPHNÉ donated the silk foulard celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Tethis Institute to Sangermani yacht Lilli II which, through her well-known skipper Lucia Pozzo and the “Falchette” of AIRC – Foundation for Cancer Research, supports fundraising for a research scholarship.

A fantastic final day of racing brought the event to a close, followed by the prize-giving ceremony and a Gala Dinner with live music.

DAY 2 – Grandi Regate Internazionali, CIM Trophy 2026 & 130th Sangermani Gathering

The Race Committee postponed the first warning signal until the afternoon while waiting for a light breeze to fill in, but unfortunately it was not possible to complete the race.

Back at the Race Village, crews showcased their recipes beautifully presented for the Vela & Sapori competition. The jury’s tasting results will be announced during the prize-giving evenings.

Day 2 concluded with a live show cooking performance by local chef Umberto Brancacci from Osteria del Marinaio, followed by a sunset pasta party accompanied by the vibrant rhythms of the Tribal Trip percussion band.
