Before their third match, at the weigh-in, Paret touched Griffith on the butt and whispered a homophobic slur in Spanish. Griffith, who kept his homosexuality a secret, exploded. "You kill me, or I'll kill you," he said.

The match between Julian Jackson and Herol Graham was truly epic! It took place on November 24, 1990, at the Torrequebrada Hotel & Casino in Benalmadena, Spain. At stake was the WBC middleweight world title, vacant after Roberto Duran vacated the title.

Graham, the Briton, was the favorite, but Jackson surprised everyone with a devastating fourth-round knockout, after taking several hard hits. That right fist from Jackson went down in boxing history! 😱

1982. Reagan's America, racial tensions still high. Larry Holmes, black, had been the WBC heavyweight champion for three years and 15 defenses. But he was hated by the public. Why? Because he had replaced Muhammad Ali.

On the other side was Gerry Cooney, 25, an Irish-American from New York, 25-0 with 22 KOs. Cooney's manager and the press touted him as the "Great White Hope"—the Great White Hope who would "bring the title back to the whites."

Joe Frazier, undefeated champion and "Smokin' Joe," against George Foreman, a 4-1 outsider.

Result? Foreman knocked him down six times. After the sixth knockdown, the referee stopped the fight in round two.

The legend of "Big George" was born. Frazier lost his undefeated record and the heavyweight title.
