Dagli oltre 30 anni d'esperienza di A.P.I. Italia nel settore dei laghi artificiali e dei trattamenti d'acqua biologici, nasce Piscine Biodesign. Un metodo di costruzione brevettato permette al classico concetto di piscina di trasformarsi in un'area ricettiva sagomata per assecondare le esigenze di balneazione e adattarsi quanto più possibile al contesto paesaggistico. Le piscine Biodesign sono costruite con materiali naturali, senza un grammo di cemento armato; anche i metodi di filtrazione e disinfezione sono all'insegna del minimo inquinamento. Le caratteristiche esclusive delle piscine naturali Biodesign sono le spiagge con bagnasciuga dove rilassarsi prendendo il sole, la possibilità di installare sedute, lettini sommersi e sistemi aeroterapici massaggianti senza però tralasciare le zone per il nuoto.

Nel cuore del suo esclusivo beach club, una piscina Bio.design crea un legame inaspettato tra architettura contemporanea e paesaggio mediterraneo.

Dimenticate le piscine tradizionali. Qui l'acqua segue forme libere e naturali, tra curve sinuose, ampie spiagge sommerse e zone relax integrate. I caratteristici giunti Bio.design, realizzati artigianalmente, disegnano geometrie uniche sul fondale, arricchendo la piscina di dettagli e sfumature.

Lines, perspectives, colours. In Hochwald, Switzerland, a Bio.design Beach Pool reveals itself from ever-changing points of view. Seen from above, its organic shapes create a composition of irregular curves, varying depths and subtle shades, where every element plays a part in defining the overall design.

The joints in the Ticino shade flow across the pool floor like natural traces, connecting the different areas and guiding the eye through submerged beaches and large emerging rocks.

Yet it is up close that the most fascinating details come to life: the textured surface of the MyLago Gold finish, the sunlight reflections dancing across the pool floor and the gentle movement of water around the rocks.

The project also finds its balance in its relationship with the surrounding garden. The pool follows a free-flowing design, while the stone staircase introduces a more structured geometry. Wooden terraces, carefully selected plants and the different levels of the terrain complete an outdoor space where each element retains its own identity.

A project that invites you to look beyond the water's surface and discover how much even the smallest details can reveal.

Linee, prospettive, colori. A Hochwald, in Svizzera, una piscina Bio.design si lascia scoprire attraverso punti di vista sempre diversi. Dall'alto, le sue forme organiche rivelano un disegno fatto di curve irregolari, profondità e sfumature.

I giunti nella tonalità Ticino attraversano il fondale come tracce naturali, collegando le diverse zone della piscina e accompagnando lo sguardo tra spiagge sommerse e grandi rocce.

Ma è avvicinandosi che si scoprono i dettagli più interessanti: la superficie materica del rivestimento MyLago Gold, i riflessi del sole che si moltiplicano sul fondale e il movimento dell'acqua intorno alle rocce.

Il progetto trova il proprio equilibrio anche nel rapporto con il giardino. La piscina segue un andamento libero, mentre la scalinata in pietra introduce una geometria più rigorosa. Un progetto che invita a guardare oltre la superficie dell'acqua, per scoprire quanto possa esserci da raccontare anche nei più piccoli dettagli.

In Lausanne, Switzerland, a Bio.design Beach Pool reinterprets the charm of lakeside landscapes, bringing a small world of water, stone and unexpected views into the garden of a private residence.

The project plays with shapes and materials: submerged beaches alternate with deeper areas, while large natural rocks emerge from the water. The result is a pool to be discovered little by little, where every angle reveals a different detail.

The MyLago Gold finish and joints in the Ticino shade help define this distinctive aesthetic, with tones reminiscent of an Alpine lakebed and shades of water that change with the light.

The pool creates a new dimension of outdoor living: not just a place to swim, but a setting to truly enjoy.

A Losanna, in Svizzera, una piscina Bio.design reinterpreta il fascino dei paesaggi lacustri, portando nel giardino di una residenza privata un piccolo mondo fatto di acqua, pietra e scorci inattesi.

Il progetto gioca con forme e materiali: le spiagge sommerse si alternano a zone più profonde, mentre grandi rocce affiorano dall’acqua. Il risultato è una piscina da scoprire poco alla volta, dove ogni angolazione rivela un dettaglio diverso.

Il rivestimento MyLago Gold e i giunti in Ticino contribuiscono a definire questa particolare estetica, con tonalità che ricordano i fondali di un lago alpino e sfumature d’acqua che cambiano con la luce.

In Dassia, on the Greek island of Corfu, the organic shapes of this Bio.design Beach Pool meet the Mediterranean architecture of the home, creating an outdoor space where water, stone and greenery come together in perfect harmony.

Covering an area of 30 m², the pool blends naturally into the garden, following its contours and creating a pleasant contrast with the architectural lines of the house. The gently sloping edges provide a gradual entry into the water, while natural rocks and surrounding vegetation evoke the atmosphere of a secluded Mediterranean cove.

The MyLago Gold finish, complemented by handcrafted joints in the Duna shade, gives the pool warm, sandy tones, enhancing the turquoise reflections of the water.

An intimate and welcoming setting, where the pool becomes an integral part of the architecture and a natural extension of the living spaces.

A Dassia, sull’isola greca di Corfù, le forme organiche di questa piscina Bio.design incontrano l’architettura mediterranea della casa, dando vita a uno spazio outdoor in cui acqua, pietra e vegetazione dialogano in perfetta armonia.

Con una superficie di 30 m², la piscina si inserisce naturalmente nel giardino, seguendone le geometrie e creando un piacevole contrasto con le linee dell’abitazione. Le sponde dolcemente digradanti accompagnano l’ingresso in acqua, mentre le rocce naturali e la vegetazione circostante contribuiscono a ricreare l’atmosfera di una piccola baia mediterranea.

Il rivestimento MyLago Gold, con i giunti in Duna, donano alla piscina calde tonalità sabbiose, esaltando i riflessi turchesi dell’acqua.

In Aesch, Switzerland, the clean geometries of this home meet the free-flowing shapes of a Bio.design Beach Pool. A deliberate contrast that defines the entire outdoor project, with water becoming the connecting element between the different spaces.

Built by .gartenbau, the Beach Pool unfolds through different areas, each designed to offer a different way of experiencing the water. Shallow zones provide a gentle entry, while the aerotherapy areas become inviting spots to pause, relax and be surrounded by the movement of the water.

The surrounding landscape design completes the setting: ornamental grasses, lush planting, stone and wood frame the pool and follow its organic contours.
Completing the outdoor space, furnishings by add a contemporary touch, turning the poolside into a place to relax and enjoy life outdoors.

Ad Aesch, in Svizzera, le geometrie rigorose di questa casa incontrano le forme libere di una piscina Bio.design. Un contrasto preciso, che definisce l’intero progetto outdoor e rende l’acqua il punto di connessione tra gli spazi.

Realizzata da Voegtli, la piscina si sviluppa attraverso diverse zone, ognuna pensata per un modo diverso di vivere l’acqua. Le aree a bassa profondità accompagnano dolcemente l’ingresso, mentre gli spazi dedicati all’aeroterapia diventano vere e proprie isole dove fermarsi e lasciarsi avvolgere dal movimento dell’acqua.

Intorno, il progetto paesaggistico completa l’esperienza: graminacee, essenze ornamentali, pietra e legno incorniciano la piscina e ne seguono le forme irregolari.
A completare l’ambiente, gli elementi di arredo outdoor aggiungono un tocco contemporaneo e trasformano il bordo piscina in un vero spazio da vivere, dove rilassarsi e godere delle giornate all’aperto.

Between the Mediterranean Sea and the Albufera Natural Park, overlooking the Bay of Pollença, water becomes part of the landscape.

At , Bio.design brings to life a 970 m² pool conceived to blend naturally into one of Mallorca’s most captivating settings.

Soft, organic shapes follow the surrounding landscape, while expansive beach-style entries create a gradual transition into the water. Integrated relaxation areas invite guests to slow down and enjoy the space, while Bio.design’s signature expansion joints draw distinctive patterns across the surface, adding character and uniqueness to the design.

Every element has been designed to combine aesthetics, comfort and efficiency. The optimized water volume and integration with the resort’s geothermal system contribute to reducing water, energy and chemical consumption, for a more conscious approach to hospitality and wellbeing.

A place where architecture, landscape and water come together to create an experience designed to be lived.

Material is never just a detail. It is part of the identity of every project.

The new issue of DDN – Design Diffusion News #312 explores the role of materials in contemporary architecture and design: surfaces, textures, craftsmanship and finishes become tools through which to express a distinctive vision of beauty, innovation and quality.

A vision that feels particularly close to Bio.design, featured in this new edition.

For us, a Bio.design pool is much more than a swimming pool. Materials are an integral part of the project: natural quartz, textures, colors and handcrafted finishes contribute to creating unique surfaces, designed to interact with water, architecture and the surrounding landscape.

This is the idea behind our creative vision: “More Than a Pool” is not simply a claim, but a manifesto of the way we design water.

A visual story made of materials, nature, water and people, where every element contributes to creating an experience. Each project emerges from the encounter between design and nature, through customizable shapes and finishes.
