🇬🇧 A unique Group B monster, still alive.

Marco Gramenzi’s Lancia Delta S4 Evo 2 is the only one in the world fitted with the Triflux engine, a 1988 patent by Sergio Limone and Claudio Lombardi that never made it onto a production S4.

The Delta S4 was born to dominate rallying in 1985.

Its career ended just two years later, when Group B itself was banned for being too extreme to control.

This is what survived that era. One of one.

La Lancia Delta S4 Evo 2 di Marco Gramenzi è l’unica al mondo dotata del motore Triflux, un brevetto del 1988 di Sergio Limone e Claudio Lombardi che non arrivò mai su una S4 di serie.

La Delta S4 nasce per dominare i rally nel 1985.

La sua carriera finisce appena due anni dopo, quando il Gruppo B stesso viene bandito per essere troppo estremo da controllare.

Questo è ciò che è sopravvissuto a quell’epoca. Uno di uno.

For a few days only, two of the rarest cars from the Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile are leaving Turin for Tenuta di Fiorano.

A Cisitalia and a FIAT from the very first years of the automobile: fifty years apart, and both leaving the museum for the first time in a long while.

Built in 1929 on a FIAT 521 chassis by Carrozzeria Fissore, it was sent to Eritrea during the Italian colonial period to project newsreels from its own onboard projector, still in working order today.

🇬🇧 The March 761 is pure seventies Formula 1: a Cosworth V8 behind the driver, an aluminium body, and the raw character of an era when these cars were driven on instinct alone.

In these photos you see the Jägermeister version, but the one coming to GranMotori is its sister car: the very March 761 that Ronnie Peterson drove to victory at Monza in 1976, the last Grand Prix win in March’s history.

One curious detail: from this same model, March later built its legendary six-wheeler, the 2-4-0, with four wheels at the rear and a name borrowed from steam locomotives.

🇮🇹 La March 761 è Formula 1 anni Settanta allo stato puro: un V8 Cosworth alle spalle del pilota, una carrozzeria in alluminio e il carattere ruvido di un’epoca in cui queste auto si guidavano solo d’istinto.

Nelle foto vedete la versione Jägermeister, ma quella che arriva a GranMotori è la sua auto sorella: proprio la March 761 che Ronnie Peterson guidò alla vittoria a Monza nel 1976, l’ultimo successo in Formula 1 nella storia della March

Un dettaglio curioso: da questo stesso modello, March costruì poi la sua leggendaria sei ruote, la 2-4-0, con quattro gomme posteriori e un nome preso in prestito dalle locomotive a vapore.

🇬🇧 Cinema turned some cars into myths, and the third Lopresto Concorso di Eleganza in Miniatura celebrates it one detail at a time: five talented diorama makers rebuild the scenes that made motoring legend, in 1:64 scale.

Corrado Lopresto shows the one closest to his heart, the start of the very first Mille Miglia.

🇬🇧 Part two: the only road car the Maserati brothers ever built.

Corrado Lopresto continues the story of Carrozzeria Touring with the OSCA 1600 GT: the first and only road car the Maserati brothers ever made, one of just two ever bodied by Touring.

After its debut at the Turin Motor Show, it found a home in Pesaro for nearly fifty years, kept in completely original condition, exactly as you see it here.

One of the rarest pieces of Italian coachbuilding, at GranMotori from 15 to 18 October. 🏁

🇮🇹 Parte due: l’unica auto stradale mai costruita dai fratelli Maserati.

Corrado Lopresto continua la storia della Carrozzeria Touring con la OSCA 1600 GT: la prima e unica auto stradale dei fratelli Maserati, uno dei soli due esemplari mai carrozzati da Touring.

Dopo il debutto al Salone di Torino, ha trovato casa a Pesaro per quasi cinquant’anni, conservata in condizioni completamente originali, esattamente come la vedete qui.

Uno dei pezzi più rari della carrozzeria italiana, a GranMotori dal 15 al 18 ottobre.
