Cento Laghi Ultimate Trail: 32km, 2000m+
When you’re feeling on top of the world! Oriana has fun (just look at that smile), takes 30’ of her personal best on the course and takes 5th place.
Hard work and dedication deliver results. Mental attitude and positivity deliver happiness.

Racing 5km:
From OMG that was hard (on the left) to game face on and a new PB at the distance. Dropping over a minute from one week to the next.

Also a shout out to husband Francesco who split exactly 25’.

Porte di Pietra: 70km, 3600m+
Let’s talk about mindset. Everyone talks about training, Vo2max, aerobic capacity, muscular endurance and fatigue resistance. But a lot of the time they forget about the mental game. Sometimes you just have to be determined and believe in yourself.
When they told Paola she was in 4th position (at about 30km) I saw a change in attitude. That seeing didn’t last for very long as she rapidly disappeared into the distance. She raced after and overtook the third woman, then rapidly passed also the second woman. Good enough you might say. But no! She caught up with the leader at about 55km. They started off again together but Paola was soon pulling away on the uphills. Arriving on top of the last serious climb she had made her decision. Bombing down the last 10km descent the victory was never seriously in doubt but “fear lends wings”!
The victory was due to a strong mindset and determination. So strong!!!!

Ferriere Trail Festival: 57km, 3100+ or 31km, 1600+

Mottyno Run: 15km, 550+
Having finished the winter cross country ski season, “partners in crime” Francesco and Silvana begin their summer season with a short trail run, just to test out their legs.
Everything went well as it generally does when you have the right partner in crime.

Pelpi Trail: 25km.
Totally recovered from a knee injury and surgery, ETIP atlete Oriana is getting into optimum running form for the upcoming summer events (GTC 55 and Tor 100).
So why not jump into a local short race, take 5th place female and 2nd in age category?

Trail della Riva: 34km, 1900m+ and 20km, 1000m+

Plan a training race, show up, have fun, do better than the previous time.
ETIP athletes Paola and Jack joined the coach with the firm intent of having fun and possibly improving their times in the perfect conditions (a bit hot and humid though).
Paola and the coach with 30 and 36’ improvements on the 34km, Jack with 20’ improvement on the 20km.
Definitely having fun!

Patrouille des Glaciers: 57,5km, 4386m.
Not all ETIP athletes are trail or mountain runners. Mountain performance comes in many forms. Madelon , together with friends Patrick and Oli, teaming up as “Glacier Maniacs” complete this iconic ski mountaineering race from Zermatt to Verbier.
Not only excellent fitness and performance but also teamwork and trust.

The arrival of the sweepers at the Alpe della Luna Trail 53km.
Trail running is not only about participating but also about contributing and giving back.
ETIP athletes Diletta and Oriana do just that as the sweepers of this wonderful race and are treated to this triumphant welcome.

Maremontana Trail, 50km, 3000m+.
ETIP athlete Oriana “is a rainbow”🌈. 71st out of 198 finishers and 8th female.
The season is only just starting and even bigger, better things are on the horizon.
