Testimonies from our last Youth Exchange Erasmus+
Manuel: This project was truly amazing. It opened my eyes to gambling and addictions in a way I hadn’t understood before. I didn’t fully grasp the causes and effects on the mind and body until now. I can honestly say this project was life-changing. I also had the chance to meet so many incredible people from different countries and cultures, and we learned a lot together through some amazing activities. This has been the best project I’ve ever been part of, and an unforgettable experience. The knowledge I gained will help me improve my personality, cultural awareness, and social skills.
Emanuele: During this experience, I gained a lot of insight into different cultures. By interacting with people from other countries, I was exposed to new points of view that I’m sure I’ll use in my life. When you meet people from different backgrounds, you learn new ways to approach problems, and that can be really useful for developing your skills and managing the challenges you’ll face in the future. It feels like I’ve come away from this experience with a whole new toolbox to use in my life.
Francesca: This experience will definitely have a positive impact on my future. It helped me strengthen skills I already had and also taught me new ones. It boosted my confidence and improved both my English skills and my ability to communicate effectively.
Rocco: This experience helped me grow in ways I didn’t expect. At the beginning, I was a bit unsure about my English, but I quickly saw that it wasn’t something to worry about. Everyone was open and that gave me the confidence to take part in all the activities. I realized how many things we actually share, no matter our background. It was a great opportunity to learn from others, step out of my comfort zone, and challenge some of my own limits. I’d definitely recommend an experience like this—it teaches you a lot about people, and about yourself too.
Serena: I personally have no experience with addiction, but this project has allowed me to connect with many people and hear their stories. It has helped me develop greater empathy for those who face these challenges and has made me reflect on the importance of supporting those in difficult situations. In the future, I believe this awareness will make me a more open and understanding person, someone who can offer support to those dealing with similar difficulties. Additionally, it has made me more aware of the psychological and social dynamics that influence our choices, which could enrich my interactions and professional future. This has been one of the most rewarding projects I’ve ever participated in. I am very grateful to Erasmus+ for helping me open up, broaden my mindset, make new friends from many different countries, and discover the creative side of myself. The activities also allowed me to be more carefree and enjoy the experience fully.
As a group, this experience gave us the chance to learn from each other and from all the other participants. We came from different backgrounds and had different experiences, but we were united in our journey, which helped us see things from new perspectives. The facilitators were kind and skilled, making the activities engaging and insightful, which helped us reflect and learn more effectively. The participants were also very nice and kind, and their positive energy made both the activities and free time more fun, useful, and interesting. Through exploring topics like gambling and addiction, we gained a better understanding of these issues and their impact. We also worked on building skills like communication and confidence by stepping out of our comfort zones. The activities and discussions we had helped us reflect on our own lives while learning from the experiences of others. It was an eye-opening experience that will definitely benefit us in the future, both personally and professionally.
