I do love a good butter tart, as such I was happy to sponsor the Manitoulin Island Best Butter Tart contest. I hope all of my customers take time to attend the festival on March 28th at the Kagawong Park Centre and pick up a butter tart or two. Best of luck to the contestants.

Last Minute Reminder if you need your skates sharpened by Dale for a tournament this weekend he is only open tomorrow (Friday January 30th) from 10 until 3 as he is curling in the Mens bonspitel in Gore Bay tomorrow evening.

IMPORTANT NOTICE RE SHARPENING AVAILABILITY. I am in the midst of curling bonspiel season and as such will be closed most weekends during the remainder of January and February. As such it is important that if you need your skates sharpened that you arrange for sharpening by 3PM ON FRIDAYS.

IMPORTANT NOTICE. If you need skates sharpened this week (Little NHL is happening), I will be closing the sharpening shop around noon on FRIDAY and will be closed all weekend as I will be curling in the Providence Bay Men's Bonspiel. All this to say, if you need your skates sharpened, do it before Friday at noon.

Happy New Year! Just a reminder to all of my customers curling season has started! I participate in all of the men's bonspiels so will not be available to sharpen the following weekends so be sure to come before noon on the Friday before or you will need to wait until very late Sunday or Monday to get your items sharpened.

Feb 7-8 (Baxter Cup Friday & Saturday)
Feb 21-23
March 7-9
I also curl my regular schedule and will be unavailable every Tuesday and Thursday between 1 and 4:30.

SO BE SURE TO CALL AHEAD BEFORE YOU COME TO ENSURE I WILL BE AVAILABLE. Note: There is always the drop box (below the window) should you want to leave your item. Be sure to leave your name and phone number so I can call you when your item is ready. Barbara is home so you can always come to pay/pickup.

I want to let everyone know that i will be unavailable Monday February 13th because my wife has an appointment in Sudbury.
I will also be the DD on Mondays and Wednesdays until further notice, while she's teaching classes in Manitowaning and Espanola.
