Coastal Leadership I.S.K.G.A. module 🛶
In this course, professional guides, who pursue this job with great passion all year round, put themselves to the test.

What a satisfaction to host them all here on Elba for a few days of training following the International Sea Kayak Guide Alliance program.

Some of them we'll meet again in January for the guide program in collaboration with Expedition Paddler for other modules and the final assessment .

Il modulo EXPEDITION SKILLS all'Isola d'Elba del 22-23-24 aprile https://www.seakayakitaly.it/corsi/corso-isgka/ ha lo scopo di sviluppare le abilità che aiutano il kayaker a mantenere un grado di comfort durante una spedizione in kayak da mare.
Tratteremo gli aspetti che coinvolgono l'organizzazione delle uscite di più giorni, dalla pianificazione al debriefing finale, passando per la scelta e l'organizzazione dell'attrezzatura, i requisiti minimi di capacità necessari e le basi della sicurezza in mare.
Il corso copre Protezione, Soccorso, Acqua, Combustione e Cibo, che sono gli elementi portanti che costituiscono i requisiti di sistema per una guida ISKGA.

The EXPEDITION SKILLS module, Island of Elba, April 22-23-24 https://www.seakayakitaly.it/corsi/corso-isgka/ aims to develop all skills that help a kayaker to maintain a level of comfort during a sea kayaking expedition.
We will deal with aspects involving the organization of multi-day expedition, from planning to the final debriefing, passing through the choice and organization of equipment, minimum necessary requirements and the basics of safety at sea.
The course covers Protection, Rescue, Water, Combustion and Food, which are the building blocks that make up the system requirements for an ISKGA guide.

A great week of ISKGA Incident Management training on the island of Elba with Jesse Debez of Sea Kayak Italy. During the five days of training the group, who had assembled from various places around Italy as well as Belgium, Ireland and Cornwall, in the UK, practised a variety of rescues and recoveries, leadership training, rock garden and surf zone safety and rescue and nigh navigation during which time the guys had to follow
Lost person protocols as well as dealing with further incidents. A big shout out to the guys who worked so hard, showing great promise for the future of professional Italian guiding and to Jesse and Alice for organising such a great event in a world class location.
