Before cycling and coffee were a “culture” sig. Berti was roasting his magnificent blends and riding alongside the likes of Franco Bitossi and Felice Gimondi. Since 1966 Berti caffè has incorporated their passion for cycling and caffe right here in Lucca! Same day..different roads
I love Lucca for its amazing selection of not just road riding but also it’s gravel roads. I didn’t plan on doing both yesterday but after (ahem) brake failure on my road bike after (thankfully) about 10k I didn’t want to throw in the towel on such a gorgeous day.. So I decided to grab one of my gravel bikes I rent and hit up a friend .kirsch who is an advanced gravel-er and hoped she would be willing to put up with this first timer and give me a little 101. She being the awesome friend, turned around from her ride and met me so we could ride together.🤗 I have to shout out to her for being such a great guide and of course friend and also a shout out to anyone wanting to ride here.. what are you waiting for???
