•Located at Quirigua, a Mayan archaeological site, in Izabal, Guatemala.
•Stela K is one of the last monuments erected at Quiriguá before the city's decline.
•The approximately 4 m stela dates back to 805 CE.
•Stela K is a portrait of "Jade Sky," also known as "Cauac Sky," the last known ruler of this archaeological site.

•The Archaeological site and ruins of Quirigua is recognized by UNESCO as containing 17 Mayan monuments that were carved between 426 CE and 810 CE.
