Only five days left until the first competition day of the European U15 Boxing Championships
Only five days left until the first competition day of the upcoming European U15 Boxing Championships which will be held in the boxing city of Montenegro, in Budva.
Record-breaking 375 boxers have registered from 32 nations in the upcoming European U15 Boxing Championships, which will be held in the city of Budva in Montenegro between October 16 and 26.
The arrival day for the competition is October 16, the first competition day is October 18 while the finals will take place on October 25. The Technical Meeting and the Official Draw of the championships will be held on October 17.
Albania, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine have already made their decision about the participation in Budva.
The number of the officials is more than 110 and 25 referees and judges will support the success of the European U15 Boxing Championships.
Several of the participating countries have selected their travelling team to the European U15 Boxing Championships in the recent days.
Mr. Alexander Klemenko, the energetic President of the Montenegro Boxing Association, supports those National Federations which have temporary financial difficulties to participate in Budva with free accommodation, meals and local transportation.
Budva was the host of the Youth World Boxing Championships, the European Women’s Boxing Championships, European U22 Boxing Championships, European Cup and several other big events in the previous five years.
The U15 age group, or previously known as schoolgirls and schoolboys, means the 2011 and 2012 born boxers are eligible to participate in Budva.
The Art of NextGen Cup in Germany and the Boxam Tournament in Spain served as final active preparations for the European U15 Boxing Championships while some countries arranged dual matches for their participating boxers.
