Sea Spirit is founded by a Sicilian guy named Carmelo Sgroi. After several years of travelling the world as a dive instructor, he made his dream reality by creating his own diving resort in his home town in 2012. Six years later we accomplished the goal of becoming a leading dive resort, a PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Resort, organizing amazing trip all season long and training Divemaster Candidate and Instructor Candidates by organizing professional programs for both Divemasters and Instructors. Each year more people find Sea Spirit to get their PADI certification from Discover Scbuba Diving, Open Water Diver up to Instructor levels. We are proud of the people that work with Sea Spirit, that make it special, create that positive vibe on our boats every day again. We’ve been exploring this coast for years, but the waters right below 📌𝚃𝚊𝚘𝚛𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚊, 𝚂𝚒𝚌𝚒𝚕𝚢 still take our breath away.

While the town sits high up on the cliff, the real magic happens down here—stopping the boat over the 𝙸𝚜𝚘𝚕𝚊 𝙱𝚎𝚕𝚕𝚊 𝙼𝚊𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚎 𝚁𝚎𝚜𝚎𝚛𝚟𝚎, jumping into that clear turquoise water, and watching everyone on board instantly disconnect.

For us, every boat tour, every snorkeling in Sicily trip, and every group heading down for some 𝙳𝙸𝚅𝙸𝙽𝙶 𝙸𝙽 𝚂𝙸𝙲𝙸𝙻𝚈🐠🤿 isn’t just work—it’s sharing a piece of our heart and our sea home in Sicily.

We are looking for one PADI Divemaster and one PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor to join Sea Spirit in Giardini Naxos / Taormina from August through October 2026.

Active PADI Divemaster
Minimum 1 year of professional diving experience

If you are interested in becoming a PADI Instructor, you will have the possibility to join our PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) starting on 24 October 2026, conducted entirely in English, at our PADI Career Development Center.

Minimum 1 year of teaching and professional diving experience
Experience teaching PADI courses and guiding certified divers
Professional dive insurance
Full personal diving equipment
Positive attitude and willingness to work in an international team
Requirements
Good spoken English (additional languages are a plus)
EU passport or legal permission to work in Italy
Driving licence (Category B) preferred
Boat licence is an advantage

While the town above gets busy, under the surface it’s a completely different story. Pure silence, marine life all around, and that feeling of total weightlessness.
